What Sunday looks like

Whether you have never stepped foot in a church, or you have worshipped in churches for decades you might be wondering what it is like to worship here.

Praying Hands

Prayer

Prayer is a regular part of our Liturgy. A Pastoral prayer of intercession is made, and a prayer of thanksgiving.

We also gather on Wednesdays for a study and prayer. This is not open to the public but we'd love to invite you once we know you.

We Hold High God's Revelation

At Mt. Calvary, our sermons aren’t crafted to entertain or offer quick fixes for a better life. They’re not meant to excuse sin or simply make us feel good. Instead, you can expect clear, thoughtful, and faithful preaching that typically lasts between 30–45 minutes.

Our heart is to open God’s Word together and allow the Holy Spirit to work through it in our lives. We trust His promise that His Word will never return empty (Isaiah 55:11), and we believe that the work He does through it is always meaningful and enduring (1 Corinthians 15:58).

We hold firmly to the conviction that God has given the preaching of His Word to grow and mature His people—so that we’re not tossed about by every new idea or teaching (Ephesians 4:14), but rooted deeply in Christ.

Christ-Centered Worship

Our worship service begins with a Call to Worship—a reminder that we gather not by our own initiative, but because the Triune God invites us to come and worship Him. It’s His day, and we come at His gracious summons.

From there, we take time to reflect on our hearts in light of God’s Law, which naturally leads us to a humble confession of sin. But we don’t stay there—we are always pointed to the assurance of our salvation, found in the finished work of Christ alone.

Some may wonder if this order of worship feels too structured or ritualistic. That’s a fair question—but in truth, the shape of our worship is intentional. It reflects the rhythm of the Gospel itself: God calls, we respond, we confess, He forgives, and we rejoice in Christ. Every part of our service is meant to keep Jesus at the center.

Family Integrated

We don't segregate the church but rather assemble together as one body. That means there may be noisy kids! And we love this reality! We know Jesus does too, as He said let the infants and children come! (Luke 18:16-17)
